Two Reasons Why You Lose Confidence

There are two reasons why you lose confidence.

1.) Fear of people

Fear of people are one of the two reasons why you lose confidence. You fear what people are going to think about you and/or what they are already thinking about you. Here’s an example, giving a presentation in front of an audience is a common fear. A person could criticize your presentation by calling it garbage. It’s understandable to feel pretty defeated about that. So, you’ll decide not to take interests in public speaking again or the like.

You’ll feel like you’re no good, decide to never try again, have no proof of successes to base confidence on, and stay stuck in the cycle of feeling as if you’re no good. This is one of the reasons why you lose confidence.

2.) Fear of failure

Fear of failure are one of the two reasons why you lose confidence. Sometimes, we take on very difficult challenges, but we don’t have the level of skill yet. We expect to fail again because we have seen ourselves fail. I can help you understand the cycle. You fail, see the bad results, believe badly about yourself, and expect to fail again.

Failure is the reason to gain confidence, not to lose confidence. Failure doesn’t kill you and what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Learn from failure and say that you gave the challenge your best try.

Never base your self- esteem on what anyone thinks about you. You decide whether you’re good enough and you are. Now that you know the reasons why you lose confidence, you have potential to overcome this.

You could ignore the criticism. It’s their problem if they have an opinion but never yours. Another powerful alternative would be to respond with “that doesn’t help me.”
